HSBC Life Assurance Malta Ltd has appointed Gregory Inglott as CEO, he announced on Saturday.

Mr Inglott had been serving as interim CEO since April, following former CEO Muriel Rutland’s departure to become Head of Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC Bank Malta plc.

HSBC Life Assurance Malta is the life insurance arm within HSBC Bank Malta, licensed to carry on long-term business of insurance under Malta’s Insurance Business Act.

Mr Inglott has worked at HSBC Bank Malta for a number of years, serving in various positions including Head of Private Clients, Head of Wealth Management, Head of Business Banking (Retail), and Head of Customer and Products, among others.

Prior to being appointed interim CEO, he had served as Head of Distribution Retail Banking and Wealth Management.

In that role, he was responsible for all customer-facing activities that include wealth management, branch banking and customer journeys, contact centre, client due diligence, and ATMs.

He holds a master’s degree in financial services as well as a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management, both from University of Malta.
