With a heavy heart, Golden Harvest has announced the death of one of its Directors and Founders, John Aquilina.
Mr Aquilina passed away on Thursday, 14th January.
“He was a pillar for the company, loved dearly by all of his family and all Golden Harvest employees alike,” the company said in a social media post.
From a traditional family bakery in Floriana back in 1946, to the state-of-the-art facility Golden Harvest currently operates from in San Gwann, the company has consistently been at the forefront of the Maltese bread industry.
Since its inception over 70 years ago, Golden Harvest has strived to achieve the best possible quality in all of their products, while continuously engaging in R&D to develop innovative products for the Maltese market.
The company, which is now managed by third-generation family members, specializes in bakery items and sweet confectionery products, while also boasting an ice-cream department and the most recent investment: a Gluten Free department.
Mr Aquilina’s final farewell will take place this Monday, 18th January, at the Gzira Parish Church, at 2pm.
