Formerly known as GlobalCapital, insurance firm LifeStar Holding plc has announced a raft of changes to designations within Senior Management positions, as well as a new senior appointment and a resignation.

Chief Executive Officer

Cristina Casingena, who is currently the Managing Director of LifeStar Insurance Limited, will have her position redesignated to Chief Executive Officer and will continue to be a Director at the company.

In the capacity of CEO, she will continue to lead the Group’s life insurance business, having the responsibility to develop the strategy to meet the short- and long-term objectives of the organisation and manage the day-to-day operations.

The redesignation shall be with effect from regulatory clearance.

jonathan camilleri

Chief Operations Officer

Jonathan Camilleri has been redesignated from the Head of Operations to Chief Operations Officer, with immediate effect.

Mr Camilleri will also assume the position of COO of the regulated subsidiaries upon regulatory clearance.

He will be responsible for managing, controlling and co-ordinating the resources and daily operations of the Group, whilst maintaining a comprehensive overview of all processes.

Mr Camilleri shall be responsible to report any key business risks across all levels to the Company’s Board of Directors.

He is currently also a Director of the Group’s health insurance agency, LifeStar Health Limited.

Adrian Mizzi

Chief Information Officer

It has also been announced that Adrian Mizzi, who joined the company on 28th September 2020 as Chief Information Officer, upon regulatory approval, shall also be appointed as CIO of the LifeStar Holding plc’s regulated subsidiaries.

In this position, he will be responsible for the organisation of Information Technology and systems. Ing Mizzi is an Engineer by profession and has worked with various companies throughout his career carrying out similar positions.

He has experience in the financial services and was previously head of IT with the Group between 2006 and 2008.

Chief Technical Officer

George Emanuel Onete has stepped down from the role of CTO of LifeStar Holding and its related subsidiaries with effect 23rd October 2020.

The role and functions of the CTO are being assigned to the CIO pursuant to the Group’s restructuring plans.
