Charles J. Falzon, a former lecturer at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy has passed away.
He had also formed part of Malta University Services Ltd.
The announcement was made by his children. His son, Karl, wrote: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Charles Falzon at the age of 87. A truly good man, he led those closest to him by example, and touched the lives of so many others whom he taught or lectured, or who he collaborated with at University."
His former colleague, lecturer Ivan Paul Grixti, sent his condolences. “After yesterday's sad news another sad day... I've just learnt that my past colleague both at FEMA and at what used to be MUS Limited, Charles J Falzon has passed away as well. I am lost for words,” Mr Grixti wrote. The news of his death comes the day after the head of the Department of Media and Communications at the University of Malta Ġorġ Mallia died.
“In terms of teaching, Mr Falzon was an excellent teacher of Economics and am sure that many of my connections here on LinkedIn have been mentored by him in some way or another. Undoubtedly, his teaching earned him the saying that 'a good teacher is born'. Now that he is born to eternal life may he rest in peace. Until we meet again,” Mr Grixti said.
He passed on his condolences to Mr Falzon’s family.
