Formerly the Head of Africa Desk at TradeMalta, Ronald Micallef will be taking up the post of Malta’s Resident Ambassador in Ethiopia in September.

Ambassador Micallef says he plans to implement targets listed in the Malta Strategy for Africa, and enhance trade and business ties between Malta and Ethiopia, together with other African nations.

Mr Micallef also holds the position of the country’s representative to the African Union and has been a non-resident Ambassador for Ethiopia since January 2019.

TradeMalta, an international business development agency, formed between the Government of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, congratulated Mr Micallef on his appointment and wished him luck in his new posting.
