On Wednesday (today), Bandit the popular eatery in Hamrun, announced that it is s closing its doors at the end of October, four years after its launch in January 2019.

“Farewell irresponsible eaters. Our one and only Hamrun shop will be shutting down on October 31st, so if you’ve been craving some carb-action, its now or never,” Bandit said.

Bandit is known for its huge one-of-a-kind burgers that go beyond the typical cheese and bacon burgers commonly found in restaurants or fast-food chains. In the past it served doritos-crusted chicken tender burgers, a burger with donuts instead of buns, a figolla burger and a Maltese burger with deep fried gbejna, bajtar liqueur jam and Maltese sausage patty, among others.

Bandit also stated that it might consider “another home” to harbour Bandit, but nothing is set in stone. “But if you know someone, who knows someone, who might know someone who’s interested, give us a shout,” the restaurant added.
