The iconic and popular Blue Bar in Msida has been officially replaced with NOVI Burgers, marking the end of an era.
Making the announcement on Facebook, NOVI said the Msida outlet marks its fourth location.
Located in Gżira, Marsaskala and St Julian’s, NOVI burger was founded by a New Yorker and his wife “who wanted to present what he though was a proper burger.” The outlets serve American classic dishes such as hotdogs, wings and – obviously – burgers. In addition, it also serves jalapeno poppers, tacos and quesadillas.
“We are so honoured to have our brand linked to such an iconic location,” the burger joint remarked.

Blue Bar was a highly frequented and popular spot for Junior College students and beyond, given its only a few meters away from the school.
Many were saddened by the news, reminding them of many happy memories, good times, and adventures of their younger years.
From serving pasta, to burgers, to sweet crepes and salads, Blue Bar will remain in the hearts of many who stepped into its doors to escape from their scholastic routines.
