On Tuesday (today), Edmond Bonett announced his appointment as General Manager (GM) of Costa Coffee Malta.

Mr Bonett is currently the GM of Corinthia Caterers and is now tasked with overseeing the two Corinthia Group subsidiaries simultaneously.

Sharing the update on LinkedIn, he stated that following a restructuring exercise at the company level, the group conducted a management and administration amalgamation of Corinthia Caterers and Costa Coffee Malta.

He commented that he has “open-mindedly” taken on these new added responsibilities.

“Throughout this process I have got to know some great people and found a very welcoming team, whom I can now outright refer to as colleagues,” he concluded.

Mr Bonett took on the role of GM in January after holding the role of Chief Operating Officer at the company for nine months.

IHI, the trading name of Corinthia Group, owns and manages a number of hotels across four different continents, and over the years has also delved into residential and commercial real estate markets through a range of investments in subsidiary and associate companies.

In Malta, it owns and manages the iconic Corinthia Palace Hotel (Attard), Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay (St Julian’s), Radisson Blu Resort & Spa (Mellieħa), Marina Hotel St George’s Bay (St Julian’s), and Radisson Blu Resort (St Julian’s).

In terms of catering, Corinthia Cateres offers various exclusive venues in Malta. Despite operating from one central production unit it provides event catring as well as contract catering to hospitals, the University of Malta, EU Agencies and international airlines flying from Malta.

Costa Coffee launched in Malta back in 2012, with its first outlet at the Malta International Airport. It then went on o open two more stores in Balzan and The Point Shopping Mall, Sliema. Throughout the years it expanded to other outlets in Valletta, Baystreet (St Julian’s), Marsaxlokk, PAMA (Mosta), Mrieħel and Sliema.
