Eden Leisure Group has announced that it will temporarily close Eden SuperBowl to start works. The group highlighted it's plans for expanding the area and turning it into a “safe and exciting family destination, which is much needed in the country”.

The bowling facility will close its doors officially on 8th January and will welcome customers once again by the end of April, leaving professional bowlers without a facility to play.

“We will be opening a world-class entertainment centre with brand new 20 lanes bowling facility, four Duckpin bowling lanes – a first for Malta – as well as numerous other innovative attractions, which will be announced at a later stage,” said the group.

It stated that this new upgrade will reinforce St George’s Bay’s position as “Malta’s most thrilling entertainment destination".

The new facility is expected to triple the size of existing entertainment offering for families, friends, corporate activities, and birthday parties.

“This is complemented by our investment into our existing cinemas and fitness centre,” commented Eden Leisure Group.

In 2019, Eden Leisure Group began its refurbishment works and eventually opened once again its main area with new features. The new look signified the end of the traditional box office, which was replaced by a number of electronic ticket machines along with a bigger space. In the meantime new developments and refurbishments continued within other areas of the cinema, including those across the street, adjacent to Eden Super Bowl.
