After nearly four decades of dedicated service, Corinthia has said “arrivederci” to one of its most cherished team members, Oreste, as he embarks on his well-earned retirement.

Starting at 21 years old, Oreste became a cornerstone of the Corinthia family, serving guests daily. Throughout his tenure, he witnessed countless refurbishments, supported the growth of many colleagues, and built lasting relationships with both staff and guests.

As Area Director of Sales and Marketing Ludwig Farrugia noted, "Oreste has been a cornerstone of our family, sharing his warm smile, kind heart, and dedication with colleagues and guests alike."

His colleagues remember him as a true gentleman, always delivering sterling service and embodying the essence of teamwork. One former colleague described him as a "hard-working man with a huge heart," while another recalled how he was a "team player and good-hearted human."

Oreste’s philosophy of teamwork and respect has left a lasting impact on those around him. "Always help each other and respect your team," he advised, words that reflect his approach to work and camaraderie. Recognised multiple times as Employee of the Quarter, he has served as an inspiration through his passion and positivity.

"Oreste, thank you for everything – you’ve truly made Corinthia a better place, and you’ll always be part of our family," Mr Farrugia added in his heartfelt tribute.
