Cleaning service company Bad Boy Cleaners has teamed up with industry competitor Mr Clean to pool resources for a good cause.
In a gesture of solidarity, the companies have acquired and donated 30 tablets to the Ministry of Education, to be made available to disadvantaged families whose children are unable to benefit from online teaching.
Claudine Ellul Sullivan, Managing Director at Bad Boy Cleaners, tells WhosWho.mt that her company is always at the forefront to support those in need, especially at this difficult time.
While the cleaning company has supported numerous entities, such as local councils and Dar tal-Providenza, with their cleaning needs, this support is targeted towards helping children with their education needs.
“We know how difficult this period is as we're all living this reality through our families and employees. In this instance, once schools shut down, we immediately thought about those children who do not have access to digital resources for online learning,” says Ms Ellul Sullivan. “Together with another leading industry player, Mr. Clean, we decided that we should collaborate to help these families to ensure no one is left behind.”
Ms Ellul Sullivan added, “We believe that this situation, although a very difficult one for us all, especially businesses, is allowing people to show more solidarity and empathy towards those in need. We hope this situation passes soon so that we can all enjoy each other's company once again, but at the same time we all preserve this empathy and respect toward each other.”
