Leading local textiles and furniture provider camilleriparismode has reflected after a bespoke ceremonial chair it provided fabrics for was used by Pope Francis during his recent visit to Malta.
Taking to social media, it described how he used the chair for his first speech, held at the Grandmaster’s Palace in Valletta.
The beautiful chair was designed by prominent local designer Carlo Schembri, with camilleriparismode providing the La Maison Pierre Frey, Fadini Borghi 100 per cent pure linen fabric that adorned the chair.
Founded by Paolo Camilleri in 1890 under the name A La Ville de Lyon, camilleriparismode is now run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Camilleri family, and retails the finest fabrics, homeware, furniture and fashion articles.
The company has been dealing in fabrics since the 1930s, and seen the business landscape on Malta change immensely.
Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Camilleri family still run one of Malta's oldest and most well-known outlets.
The firm brings together a collection of the finest furnishing fabrics, wallpapers and paints, carpeting, lighting, furniture, technical blinds, curtain accessories, awnings, outdoor furniture, bespoke sofas and a complete range of home accessories to complement the chosen décor of any interior, whether classical, modern or contemporary.
It also offers interior design services and a project department within camilleriparismode’s rabat work-shop. In-house, the retailer can determine the overall concept for a project, as well as oversee production and/or sourcing.
