Organised by Deloitte Digital Malta, DX Unplugged – Unplug the AI hype: Master the costs. Control the risks. Win the race. is a half-day event designed to bring those decisions into focus. On the 10 November at Salini Resort, business and technology leaders will explore local use cases implemented locally and hear what early adopters have learnt. The sessions will examine the economics and dependencies behind AI, the governance needed to manage risk, and the choices that turn promising ideas into business results.

The programme moves beyond broad predictions. It examines what drives AI spending, from token usage to total cost, alongside data governance, privacy, third-party risk and cyber incident response. Attendees will hear about Deloitte Digital’s work with the Office of the Ombudsman to implement Salesforce Agentforce for case management. The discussion will explore how digital tools can support case-handling teams, including what worked, what proved harder than expected and what others can learn.

Conrad Cassar Torregiani, Partner at Deloitte Malta, will open the event and deliver the keynote, setting the scene for a discussion grounded in business decisions rather than AI hype. A presentation by Pierre Malla, Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation business leader, will then examine the economics of AI from a platform perspective, addressing what companies can do to understand and manage those costs as usage grows.
