Vecchia Napoli’s Salini restaurant is closing down at the end of the month after its hotel landlord decided to terminate the lease.
The Neapolitan restaurant opened in 2016 and it said it has served over 1.5 million guests and 500,000 pizzas since then.
“It’s time to bid farewell to a very special chapter of our story,” the restaurant said.
“Since 2016, Vecchia Napoli Salini has been home to countless celebrations, family lunches, and Cene Napoletane. For this, we thank you wholeheartedly.”
WhosWho.mt understands that the closure was not a business decision taken by the restaurant’s operators Kitchen Concepts, but rather the result of a decision by its landlord, Salini Resort Hotel, to terminate the lease and repurpose the premises.
Vecchia Napoli also has outlets in Ta’ Qali, St Julian’s, Skyparks in Luqa, Brewhouse in Mrieħel, Qawra, and Mellieħa.
