For Joann Mifsud, Chief Operations Officer and Director at Finductive, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a project come together. It is her ability to break down problems into little pieces, and coming up with solutions for better efficiency, which has allowed her to be at the forefront of a growing financial institution which is restless for change.

“As long as I can remember, I was always proactive in everything I did. To me, ‘better the devil you know’, is the perfect recipe to become irrelevant in no time. It is all about staying ahead of the curve, and having the foresight to understand what the next move is going to be,” Joann claims.

Joann has been working in the financial services industry, in various organisations, large and small, for over 25 years. She joined Finductive in November 2019, when the organisation was starting out, contributing greatly to the crucial first steps. Today Finductive is an established financial institution that has carved a place for itself in a highly competitive market, and which is on the brink of growing even further.

“Finductive has come a long way since it opened its doors. Today we service numerous clients, helping them receive and make payments, administer, and transfer funds in various currencies over several gateway solutions,” Joann explains.

The company has grown alongside the gaming industry, pouncing on the opportunities that opened up when a number of traditional financial institutions were deciding to ‘de-risk’ a few years back.

“We quickly realised that there was a niche that few were catering for, so we decided to pivot accordingly – and it was a very wise decision to make, as we have grown considerably in this area. In fact, today we are proud to have a thorough understanding of the gaming market, its needs and operations. The intimate relationship we have developed, albeit governed by the highest standards of good governance and AML criteria, allows us to provide a portfolio of state-of-the-art payment solutions, in multiple currencies,” she continues.

But providing payment solutions for the iGaming industry is not Finductive’s only speciality. The firm is also on the forefront of tailor-made products for corporate clients offering services that are designed to the specifications and needs of the customers.

“Most importantly, it is a philosophy of truly understanding the requirements of a business and having the right sensitivity to respond to them. In fact, I believe that this is one of the elements clients really appreciate when choosing to use the services of Finductive, over other operators.”

Joann also notes that the company is adamant that clients will always find a helpful and friendly face, ready to see to their needs.

“Ultimately clients are only interested in getting their service for a competitive price, with zero hitches. However, it does help when the entire process is a pleasant one. Indeed, we want to build even further on this value of personalised service, to be able to accommodate more clients and make them feel special.”

Looking ahead, Finductive will soon be making further investments that are expected to result in more cutting-edge services for the benefit of their customer-base.

“In 2024, we look forward to launching a host of new services that will continue to grow our customer-base while making their lives even easier. One such new service will allow customers to make instant payments of up to a €100,000. This will have the potential to effectively replace cheques and cash transfers. The payments will be possible across different banks and will be affected instantaneously for everyone’s peace of mind.”

Finductive is also looking forward to introducing SEPA-based direct debit mandates to facilitate regular payments as well as Debit cards.

Though it still considers itself a start-up, Finductive recognises the importance of growth and constant change to keep up with the market and its competitors. “With every decision we take and every initiative we embark on, we make it a point to remain true to our vision and mission. Which is to always keep our clients at the centre of our operation, at all times” Joann concludes.
