Seasoned management specialist Benson Bosman has been named Chief Commercial Officer at software and hardware distribution company Newtech Malta, he announced on Friday.

He thanked Managing Director JJ Miceli Demajo and the whole Newtech Malta team for making him feel welcome and says is looking forward to working with them on “new and exciting projects on the way”.

Prior to his new role, Mr Bosman served as Chief Business Development Officer at IT solutions provider Harvest Technology plc for over a year. Additionally, he also worked as General Manager at its automation and security solutions subsidiary APCO Limited for more than five years.

His experience also includes over three years at Vodafone, during which time he served as Business Partner Manager at its Cape Town, South Africa office, as well as Business Solutions Territory Manager at its Malta office. Mr Bosman also served as Channel Account Manager at Hewlett-Packard and as Territory Market Manager at Cisco Systems, both at South Africa, for a year-and-a-half and almost six years respectively. Besides this, he worked as Enterprise Account Manager at cloud data services company NetApp for a year.

Mr Bosman also holds a Certificate in Sales Management from University of the Witwatersrand, along with certification for a wide range of qualifications.

Newtech Malta is a software and hardware distribution company with experience in licensing solutions, being the authorised distributor of a number of brands in Malta, including Microsoft, Darktrace, Lenovo, Razer, and Acer, among others. It also provides software asset management and IT consultancy services, as well as sourcing and logistical expertise.
