Ascertic Corporate Services announces appointment of senior executives to Accountants’ Institute groups

Matthew Aquilina

Ascertic Corporate Services Managing Director, Matthew Aquilina, and Finance Manager, Daniel Bezzina, have been appointed to the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA)’s Small and Medium Practices Group and Young Members Focus Group for 2022 and 2023, it announced on Monday.

The two groups are amongst the MIA’s 13 different committees and focus groups, aiming to supplement the organisation’s drive to lead, train, support and promote its members, while setting a high standard for the benefit of the accountancy profession and general public.

The Small and Medium Practices Group has 19 members, and is headed by Chairperson Jean Paul Debono, whereas the Young Members Focus Group is comprised of 23 members, headed by Chairperson Dean Micallef.

A Certified Public Accountant, Mr Aquilina joined Ascertic as a Director in 2020 after a stint as Finance Consultant at iGamingPlatform.com and as Financial Controller for EDITEC before that.
