APS Bank on Friday (today), announced that Christine Tabone and Matthew Swain were appointed two senior management positions as from 1st November 2023.
The appointments were done in order to fill newly-created positions.
Ms Tabone now holds the role of Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). She holds a Master in Accountancy from University of Malta, and is also a graduate of the Institute of Risk Management London, holding an International Diploma in Risk Management. She is also a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
She first joined the bank in 2011 and has since served in successively senior risk management roles, including as Secretary of the Risk Committee since 2016.

Eventually he was also managing and implementing global sustainability risk policies.
In his new role, Mr Swain is leading the development of an ESG Strategy Framework across all business lines and is setting the bank's medium-term ESG commitments.
His remit will then expand to a wider sustainability strategy, encompassing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as overall responsibility for Emissions Accounting and ESG reporting.
Marcel Cassar, APS CEO, remarked that the bank takes pride in introducing the latest appointments. He noted that these individuals are "equipped with extensive expertise and significant tenure in their specialised areas, while also preparing for succession".
