Air Malta has signed an agreement with Discover the World to take on sales representation responsible for Malta's national airline, in France.
Discover the world was established in 1981 and is considered as a leader in global outsource sales and marketing. It’s aim is to bridge the gap to reach across cultures, economies, languages, currencies and complex business practices to maximise its clients’ investment and revenue returns.
Air Malta currently operates 26 flights weekly from France, reaching four different airports: Paris Charles De Gaule, Orly, Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Nice Côte d’Azur. This makes France the third largest market for the airline and sits at fourth place for inbound tourism to the Maltese Islands.
Aiden Walsh, Head of Airline Development at Discover the world remarked that the company is delighted to expand its partnership with Malta’s national airline, to now include France. “This brings the number of markets we represent up to nine online and over 30 offline countries. With a focus on people, innovation, transparency and results, we look further to build on our past work that has continually delivered recorded growth and revenue for Air Malta,” Mr Walsh said.
On the other hand, Alan Tune, Air Malta’s Head of Revenue Management and Global sales commented that the company has “deepened” its cooperation with Discover the World in order to grow revenue and bring further synergies across the company’s key sales territories in which Discover is an important pillar. He is confident that Discover can take Air Malta’s sales representation model to the next level and grow its footprint in France. “As well as look to adapt to changing marketing needs, increased competition, evolving technology and ever growing challenges in service delivery.”
“The latest addition is an important milestone for our strategic partnership, and we’re thrilled to have them on board for France,” Mr Tune concluded.
