Food has long been a means of connecting people and exchanging cultures. In this vein, three colleagues at Welbee's Supermarkets treated the entire office to a Gaura Parva Nepalese lunch, crating the meal from scratch.

Gaura Parva is a feast commemorated in the western and midwestern regions of Nepal in early September.

In an increasingly globalised Malta, where staff and colleagues have increasingly been exposed to different cultures at the workplace, such celebrations lend a hand in building bridges and fostering understanding.

Sharing its recent experience, Welbee's wrote that the three Nepalese colleagues "crafted dumplings from the ground up and expertly grilled pork and chicken on the barbeque."

"They generously provided us with rice pudding to relish during beakfast."

Hailing the power of food, as means of cultural exchange, Welbee’s believe that such a simple activity is a powerful way to connect with people, coming from different cultures. “This shared meal fostered an environment of mutual understanding and admiration, emphasizing both the similarities that bind us and the unique distinctions that enrich our collective tapestry.”
