A 31-year-old Maltese man who worked at Antonio Piscopo Wine and Spirits in Paola is among the 38 new cases testing positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Earlier, Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci said that a worker at Piscopo Cash and Carry in Paola had tested positive and later clarified.
Malta has registered a total of 337 cases. Two people have so far tragically died who had been infected in recent weeks.
Prof Gauci said workers have been sanitising the store but customers with symptoms should get in touch through the 111 COVID-19 helpline.
