Stephen Xuereb joined the cruise industry in 2002, serving as Chief Finance Officer of Valletta Cruise Port pls, part of Global Ports Holding pls, and then being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2014.

Valletta Cruise Port plc - formerly known as VISET Malta plc - is a limited liability company that took over the cruise and ferry terminal operations following an international tender issued by the Government of Malta in 1996.

Global Ports Holding was established in 2004 as an international port operator with a diversified portfolio of cruise and commercial ports.

“I have over 20 years senior management experience, 17 of which in the cruise industry. Previously, I occupied posts in the audit and financial advisory sectors as well as in the retail, property and hospitality industries,” Mr Xuereb says.

Mr Xuereb is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants and a Henley MBA graduate.
