Michael Warrington’s varied career started in banking at a formative time for the industry.

“I started up four banks, restructuring a fifth and helped take it from losing €8 million a year to making €1 million in profit,” he shares.

He became AX Group’s Finance Director in February 2000, and CEO in 2016.

The AX Group of companies is a conglomerate operating in six key business sectors: construction, development, real estate, renewable energy, healthcare and hospitality.

Mr Warrington is also Director of several private and public listed companies in Malta and internationally. He also holds a BA Hons in accountancy and an MA in financial services.
