Kenneth Cortis joined Crane Currency Malta Ltd as Chief Financial Officer in 2017 when the company’s world-class factory in Ħal Far was still a plan. Since then, the €100-million project has been completed and lean manufacturing processes implemented, which are now producing a competitively priced product.

“Our business model attracted the attention of Crane Co., a $3-billion company listed on NYSE, which acquired our company and appointed me as Director in 2018. In this role, I remain focused on compliance and cost control by eliminating waste and cash generation,” Mr Cortis explains.

The Ħal Far facility features the industry’s most modern equipment capable of producing the latest security feature enhancements and production efficiencies. The 14,000 square metre plant is designed for optimum workflow for state-of-the-art performance in efficiency, quality, safety and security.
