Surf N Turf, a fine dining fusion restaurant located in Qawra, has closed down after seven years of operations.
The announcement was made on the restaurant’s social media account on Friday (today), stating that Thursday was the last day of operation.
The restaurant was opened by Chef Patron Kerstin Manicolo and Front of House Manager Joshua Borg, two award-winning restaurant industry specialists.
In the post, management proceeded to thank its guests for their support throughout the journey, as they have become “an integral part” of the restaurant’s story.
“Your trust in our culinary creations, your kind reviews and recommendations, and your regular visits, have shaped us into what we are today. We cannot express our gratitude enough for choosing us to be a part of your special occasions and everyday celebrations,” it continued.
Management also expressed gratitude towards employees and close family members, who have supported the restaurant throughout the years.
“Our appreciation is truly beyond words. Your love, understanding, and unwavering belief in your dream have been the foundation upon which our restaurant was built, and we truly thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made and for always prioritising Surf N Turf,” it added.
Surf N Turf’s management stressed that it “cannot express enough” how grateful it is for the love and support shown over the seven years.
“You have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and your presence will be sorely missed. Thank you for being a part of our restaurant. We will cherish these memories forever,” it concluded.
While regular customers were disappointed with the news, they wished Mr Manicolo and Mr Borg well in their future endeavours, noting that they had enjoyed “so many wonderful meals and fabulous evenings” with them at the restaurant.
