The Board of Directors of VJ Salomone Ltd is delighted to announce that, with effect from 1st July 2023, Andrew Muscat has been appointed Chairman of VJ Salomone Group of Companies and Arthur Galea Salomone has been appointed Group Company Secretary.

Prof. Muscat is a leading company lawyer having developed a wide-ranging commercial law practice. He has advised corporate clients on matters ranging from governance to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and corporate finance, privatisations and joint ventures.

As counsel to some of Malta’s leading publicly listed companies, Prof. Muscat has broad experience on capital markets issues. He is also Professor of Commercial Law in the Faculty of Laws at University of Malta, where he has taught company law, insolvency law, banking law, and credit instruments. He has authored the three-volume publication entitled “Principles of Maltese Company Law”, which is the point of reference for Maltese company law matters.

Dr Galea Salomone has practiced widely in corporate law and financial services law. He has broad corporate experience having advised a number of public and private companies and having sat on the Boards of Directors of companies in both the public and private sector.

He was Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2013 and Deputy Chairman of the Malta Arbitration Centre from 2004 to 2016. He served for two decades as Director of APS Bank where he also chaired the Governance Committee of the bank. He is currently Chairman of Vodafone Insurance, Partner and Director of the Finco Trust Group of Companies, and sits on the Board of Directors of a number of listed companies and regulated companies.
