Twenty companies were named Gold Winners during the fourth edition of the Malta Business Awards, held on Friday, 8th November, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

The annual ceremony recognised businesses demonstrating outstanding performance across a range of categories, from sustainability and innovation to social impact and customer service.

This year’s event drew over 400 applications, which were reviewed through a rigorous adjudication process involving 19 independent committees. Following interviews with shortlisted businesses, 57 finalists were selected, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards presented before an audience of around 500 guests.

Among the Gold Award recipients were Merill Rural Network (Social Impact – up to 25 employees), MAPFRE Malta (Exceptional Wellbeing at the Workplace), STMicroelectronics Malta Ltd (Energy and Water Sustainability), Filament Corporation Ltd (Innovative and Sustainable Initiative), FreeHour (Small Business of the Year), and SIGMA (SME of the Year).

Other notable winners included Exclusively Malta Luxury Travel for Leader in Quality Tourism, Baldacchino Group for Family Business of the Year (26+ employees), and Alexandra Sciberras, Founder of Invent 3D, who received the Female Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The ceremony also shone a spotlight on emerging ventures, with SpaceOmix Ltd named Start-Up Business of the Year, while Joseph Matthew Muscat of 4JM Solutions was recognised as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Supported by several national entities, including the Ministry for the Economy, Malta Enterprise, WasteServ, and the Malta Tourism Authority, the awards continue to highlight the diversity and creativity of Malta’s business ecosystem.

Applications for the fifth edition of the Malta Business Awards will open in Q2 2026, ahead of the event scheduled for 20th November 2026. More information is available at maltabusinessawards.mt.
