On Thursday (today), Lidion Holdings, the holding company of Malta-based Lidion Bank, announced that Turgut Nezih Sipahioğlu now holds a total of 1,363,850 Ordinary ‘A’ Shares in the company. 

This follows the company’s latest issuance of shares to Mr Sipahioğlu, totalling that of 389,666.

On 1st October, Lidion Holdings announced that all shareholders unanimously approved a resolution to issue 2.88 million Ordinary ‘A’ Shares in the company at the Extraordinary General Meeting.

Of these, 1.23 million shares were issued to existing shareholders Dutch Firms Monde Celeste (487,083 shares) and Armoza Beheer (487,083 shares) as well as Kenan Yavuz (128,590 shares) and Tarik Vantansever (128,590 shares).

Later, Mr Sipahioğlu was issued 584,518 shares.

He joines other new investors in the company, Tarik Vatansever and Kenan Yavuz.

The Lidion Bank brand was established in December 2023 after it changed its name from AgriBank.

In March, Lidion announced that it would be increasing its share capital with the aim of expanding its product offering. At the time, the bank told WhosWho.mt that the increase is “synonymous with the growth of Lidion Bank.”

Prior to the increase, Lidion Holdings’ share capital amounted to €8,226,501.8167, divided into 80,000 Ordinary ‘A’ Shares and one Ordinary ‘B’ Share, of nominal value of €1.2657 each, together with 6,972,065 Ordinary ‘A’ Shares of nominal value of €1.1654 each.

The new figure will come in at a total of €14,473,439.7219. While the aforementioned 80,000 Ordinary ‘A’ and Ordinary ‘B’ Shares will retain the previously held value (€1.2657 each), the second part of the split (priced at €1.1654 each) will grow to 12,332,403 Ordinary ‘A’ Shares.
