Fra Divino, the third wine bar owned by restaurateur Yan Drago, is set to open tonight (Friday) at the Birgu Waterfront.
Mr Drago, who also owns Fra Giuseppe in Balzan and Fra Angelico in Rabat, made the initial announcement on Wednesday, thanking his team and family members for their support after a "hard couple of weeks" getting the wine bar ready.
The news of the opening was then confirmed by Fra Giuseppe and Fra Angelico's social media pages, stating that it will be opening tonight.
“If you’re around Birgu, stop by for a nice glass of wine and some delicious small eats,” the posts read.
While the opening day is an exception since it will be opening later than usual, Fra Divino’s website states that it will then be opening daily from 10.30am till late.
The first Fra wine bar that was opened was Fra Giuseppe, nestled against the Balzan parish church. This was then followed up by Fra Angelico in Rabat, which opened in 2022.
The news of the opening was met with a positive reaction on social media, with many expressing their excitement at having the popular wine bar in the south of Malta.
