The Plaza Shopping Complex and people in shops of the surrounding areas were promptly evacuated on Thursday (this afternoon) due to a bomb threat.
The police were informed of the threat at around 4pm in the highly busy area in Sliema/one.com.mt
Multiple reports have stated that at around 4pm the police were informed about the threat allegedly situated in the shopping complex in Bisazza Street.
Eyewitnesses at the scene have stated that the area has been closed off by police.
In the meantime, a team from the Explosive Ordinance Department is currently on the way to the site to search for any explosives.
