Tamara Micallef has been named Head of Legal and Compliance at Forvana Gaming.

She will be ending a career break of just over a year after accepting the role offered by Forvana Gaming CEO Niklas Lindahl.

In a social media post announcement the appointment, Mr Lindahl said he crossed paths with Dr Micallef when he was serving as Country Manager at LeoVegas.

“One of Tamara's assignments was to keep me in check,” he wrote.

“We had arguments, really intense arguments... we were both fuming... but there was always mutual respect.”

Dr Micallef previously served as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Uptick Poker, following a six-year stay at LeoVegas that saw her rise through the ranks to become Group Head of Compliance, having started out as In-House Legal Counsel.

Mr Lindahl concluded his tongue-in-cheek post by thanking Dr Micallef for accepting the role and promising that “this time I will always listen to your advice and do as you say.”
