Adrian Farrugia, the man behind Ta’ Dirjan pizzeria, has placed 33rd among 150 participants during the Pizza World Championship, specifically in the Pizza Margherita DOC category.

Titled ‘Campionato Mondiale Pizza DOC’ the championship took place in the city of Paestum in Salerno, Italy, a country renowned for pizza.

Sharing the achievement on its Facebook page, the Ta’ Dirjan team expressed its pride at their boss’s remarkable achievement.

The pizzeria is situated is located off the main Siġġiewi square and is known for its hearty food.
