On Monday (today), economist Stephanie Fabri announced her new position as Senior Lecturer at University of Malta.

Dr Fabri started lecturing at the University of Malta in 2010 and was later engaged as a researcher at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation within the university.

In that postion, she conducted research on the role and implications of knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship in Malta. In addition, she was also a Board Member of the Centre.

In 2019, she joined the Department of Management at the University of Malta as a full-time academic.

Now, Dr Fabri is a non-Executive Director at IZI Finance plc as well as a Board Member of the Malta Stock Exchange plc and the Environment and Resources Authority.

She read for her PhD at the University of Warwick, and her dissertation looked at strategic management in British companies.

Dr Fabri specialises in strategic management and public policy and garnered experience in applying economics to firms, consumers, and communities.

In the past, she also held the position of an economist at the Strategic Policy Secretariat within the Office of the Prime Minister, where she was tasked to review policy documents led by various Ministries and assess their implications on the economy, both from a local and international perspective.
