Malta-based disinfectant company Sanondaf has voluntarily lent its services to sanitise the exteriors of homes and for the elderly across Malta.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis.
Sanondaf, which specialises in ‘touchless disinfection services’ has already serviced the exterior of St Joseph Residence, a home for the elderly located in Qormi. In the coming days, the company will be fumigating all other homes for the elderly and care across the island.
Elderly persons are the among the most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. While the death rate in Malta has remained relatively low, the four people who tragically lost their lives to the virus were all elderly.
Jason Degiorgio, managing director of Sanondaf, said the company has succeeded in branching out into international territories over the past years, establishing itself as a market leader in the decontamination industry.
