Sandro Farrugia has been appointed to the position of Group Financial Controller within Hugo’s Group, a role that will also encompass and involve oversight of the Company.

Hugo’s Group, a hospitality and entertainment powerhouse situated in St. Julian's, Malta's tourism hub, operates the largest chain of restaurants, bars, pubs, nightclubs, established hotels, and forthcoming luxury accommodations.

Mr Farrugia’s appointment follows three decades of experience in the finance and hospitality sectors. His career commenced in 1989, and over the years, he has held notable senior leadership positions within prominent local hospitality enterprises. This includes his most recent roles as Finance Director at Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa, as well as at Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay until 2020. He also served as Regional Financial Controller at AX Hotels until September 2022, Financial Controller at db Hotels and Resorts, and Group Finance Manager at Juel Group prior to his engagement with Hugo’s Group.
