With over 30 years in the retail sector, my path has been shaped by both challenge and growth. I’m a Chartered Management Consultant, Chartered Manager, and Financial Accountant, but more than anything, I see myself as someone who brings steadiness, perspective, and integrity to the table.
As CFO and Company Secretary at TheMillerGroup, I lead the finance and governance functions with a focus on clarity, accountability, and long-term thinking. I work closely with the CEO and board to align strategy with sound governance and responsible business practices. I value straight talk, mutual respect, and creating an environment where people feel supported and heard.
Resilience has been a quiet constant in my career – staying composed in tough situations, adapting without overreacting, and keeping a clear head when it matters most. I also enjoy mentoring others, helping them grow into their roles, and encouraging a culture where learning is part of the everyday.
Outside of work, I make a point of keeping balance. I believe that looking after your health and wellbeing is key to showing up fully – for your team, your family, and yourself.
I hold an MSc in Finance (University of Leicester), an MBA in Strategic Finance (Brunel University), and diplomas in Corporate Governance and ESG. I believe in lifelong learning, but also in the kind of judgement that only experience – and a bit of humility – can teach.
