Business Profile
A marine scientist, chartered biologist, and chartered environmentalist with a career spanning over 30 years, I worked in industry, education, and research before joining the Planning Authority, where I headed the Environmental Management Unit for over six years.
In 2003, I was one of the founders of Adi Associates, which is today one of Malta’s most successful and consistent environmental and planning consultancies, with a strong reputation in the environmental sector. With over 20 years of experience in the environmental consultancy sector locally and internationally, my work has taken me to Ascension & St Helena Island (South Atlantic Ocean), Somaliland, North Cyprus, and Jordan and included work for international institutions such as the UNDP, FAO, SDF, EU, IOI, and national development funds and national governments.
At Adi Associates we specialise in environmental management and planning, including Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), impact assessment, transport & active mobility, waste management & pollution control, permitting, environmental monitoring, training, environmental auditing, and stakeholder engagement. Our mission is to apply our environmental and planning expertise to provide solutions to our client’s needs through innovative approaches, teamwork, and trust, and to achieve a sensitive and sustainable balance between the needs of our clients and those of the environment by promoting low environmental impact solutions.
I am a member of the Royal Society of Biology, the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
