Christos Barmperis is now the Executive Director of Orion Finance Plc. Mr Barmperis is superseding Anthony Camilleri who is now the Non-Executive Director of the group. The new roles came into effect on Wednesday, after being announced on the Malta Stock Exchange.

Orion Finance plc is a subsidiary of Orion Retail Investments Limited (a property management company), which is also a subsidiary of Camilleri Holdings limited. It was set up in May 2017 to raise finance for the business of Orion Group.

Mr Camilleri is the eldest of the founding members of Camilleri Group, being in the family business for more than 44 years with over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Mr Barmperis joined Camilleri Group in January 2013 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and he is currently Managing Director of the group. In earlier years, he served at C-Level positions in numerous retailing global brands including Carrefour Group, Dixons Group and Intersport, among others.

On the other hand, Pierre Griscti has taken Mr Barmperis’ previous role as Company Secretary. Mr Griscti joined Camilleri Group in 1989 in the early years of the fashion business as a finance executive. In 2016, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Griscti "was a key player in the financial growth and development of the Group as one of the leading players in the catering, confectionery and fashion sectors.”**

Mr Griscti is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and sits on the Board of Directors and various committees of the group of companies.

An earlier version of this article incorrectly described Mr Griscti as Mr Farrugia.
