A power outage might bring most businesses to a halt, but one local barber shop in Rabat took it as an opportunity to showcase resilience and creativity.

Following Enemalta’s scheduled power cut on Friday (today), the team at Sharp Cutz Barber decided to take their craft outside, ensuring that their clients didn’t miss out on their scheduled trims.

Sharp Cutz owner, Christian Cassar, shared a photo of his team hard at work on the pavement, captioning it: ‘No electricity, no problem.’

Reflecting on his journey as a barber, Christian Cassar shared his passion for the trade and his commitment to customer satisfaction.

“Since I was young, I always cared about how my hair looked, and I tried every style that came into fashion. One time, there was a person who needed a barber, and without thinking twice, I took a course, started working, and experimenting,” he tells WhosWho.mt.

Mr Cassar’s entrepreneurial journey has not been without its challenges. He opened Sharp Cutz in January 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. “Unfortunately, in March, we had to close due to Government restrictions for three or four months. But I always believed that for every obstacle, there is a solution, and we learn from it.”

Now, five years since its launch, Sharp Cutz has established itself as a staple in the community, with Mr Cassar maintaining his dedication to providing top-quality service.
