The Global Chamber of Business Leaders on Thursday announced the appointment of Nigel Scicluna as Young Business Leaders Program Delegate for Malta.

The Global Chamber of Business Leaders is a coalition of governmental leaders, CEOs and executives, entrepreneurs, investors and business and industry leaders who share a common vision: the sustainable well-being and growth of business in a disruptive and ever-evolving global economy.

Nigel started his career in business management these last few years with an ambition to become a business leader within the various sectors he has been entrusted with by OSA Group of Companies as General Manager. 

Nigel takes care of the day-to-day management of the Group including marketing, human resources, food & beverage operations of three different catering outlets spread across Malta that fall under the OSA.

He is also trusted with the general management of one of the OSA member companies within the tourism and travel sectors, a specialist destination management company with unique segmental niches within the touristic market. The role that Nigel currently occupies ensures that the companies run smoothly in line with the vision that the Group Board of Directors have set. 

Nigel’s business development skills help to keep the respective companies under his responsibility in line with the aims and vision set. Additionally, in the following months, OSA Group will be expanding into different areas of business including within the hospitality sector, amongst other economic promising industries. 

Nigel is also undergoing his Bachelor of Commerce in Management & Marketing at the University of Malta. The experience already gained from past and current working experience together with the current areas of studies will be a key in order to achieve greater levels of experience and ultimately, becoming a business leader. 

Together with the roles currently occupied by Nigel, he is also a qualified football coach at one of Malta’s leading football academies. Merging the passion for management & football, Nigel also holds an Administrative Management Certificate given by the Malta Football Association.

Nigel is also an active member of the Malta Chamber of SME’s, being kept updated with the growing markets in line with the company’s sectors, together with voicing any areas of improvement that the sectors of involvement might require for future expansion.
