Franklin Aquilina has been appointed the new Head of Malta Representation in Ramallah, recently calling on the President of Malta, Dr George Vella.

Mr Aquilina has seven years’ experience working within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and in various roles within the diplomatic corps. He joined the Ministry in 2013, in the role of Secretariat Officer, moving onto become Chargé d’Affaires in the Maltese embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Copenhagen. 

He moved back to Malta to take up the position of Officer within the same Ministry, later relocating to Istanbul to take up the position of Consul General in the Maltese Consultate there.

Mr Aquilina is a graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he studied politics and international relations, completing his studies in 2017. Before that, he took a course in political science at the University of Malta.
