Experienced Maltese tourism industry professional Michael Cordina has announced his appointment as Account Manager at leading international holiday booking company Booking.com.

Revealing the appointment on social media, he said: “I’m happy to share that I’ve started a new position as Account Manager at Booking.com.”

Mr Cordina has had a successful career in the local tourism sector, beginning with a Student Internship at Cavalieri Art Hotel in 2011, followed by a stint in the same position at Sunspot Tours.

He was then appointed Sales Executive at Travel Services Malta Ltd, before being promoted to Sales Assistant Manager then Sales Manager. He then joined Robert Arrigo & Sons as a Sales Executive.

Booking.com is the self-proclaimed “world’s leading provider of online travel and related services.”

The company’s service includes a tech-focused solution to connect travellers with “memorable experiences, a range of transportation options and incredible places to stay.”

Its app is one of the most widely used of its type, with over 100 million monthly active users globally, hosting over 232 million verified reviews, and over 28 million listings.
