Melvin Bonnici has been appointed Director of Internal Audit at Corinthia Group, owned and operated by International Hotel Investments plc (IHI).

Mr Bonnici joined Corinthia Group as a financial executive in 2006 and was appointed the first General Manager of Palm City, Tripoli, in 2009.

He subsequently moved to IHI and was appointed as Finance Director at Corinthia Hotel, St Petersburg.

Mr Bonnici previously worked with KPMG for 13 years, followed by senior roles at FIMBank plc and Banif Bank plc.

He is a qualified accountant who holds an FCCA, FIA and a CPAA warrant. Mr Bonnici has also obtained an Executive MBA from the School of International Management at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.
