To mark the 25th anniversary of its establishment, the Malta Communications Authority (MCA) has issued a limited edition set of commemorative postage stamps under the theme “Regulating for a Connected Digital Future”.

The six-stamp collection which costs €35 reflects the key areas in which the MCA has exercised its regulatory and public policy responsibilities over the past quarter-century: electronic communications, postal services, digital services, cybersecurity, together with the Authority’s engagement at European and international levels.

The sixth stamp features the MCA’s 25th anniversary logo. The design elements featured on each stamp are drawn from past MCA Annual Reports and illustrate the Authority's evolving role since it was established in 2001.

Commenting on the launch, Jesmond Bugeja, Chief Executive Officer of the MCA, said: “This stamp set is a small but meaningful way to mark 25 years of regulatory work that has helped shape Malta’s communications and digital landscape. We are also pleased that all proceeds from this initiative will support the Malta Community Chest Fund and the valuable work it carries out within our community.”

Buyers may choose between collection in person or for the collection to be delivered by registered mail.

A limited number of commemorative stamp sets have been produced, and once sold out, no further sets will be issued.

Orders will be processed on a strictly first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to availability. Given the limited number of sets produced, early ordering is encouraged.
