Government agency servizz.gov will be led by Massimo Vella from this month, according to an official press release issued on Monday morning.

servizz.gov brings all Government agencies together, acting as a bridge between the Public Service of Malta and the general public, and aimed at making Government services more accessible overall.

Mr Vella assumed the role earlier this month, at a time where the agency was tasked with new responsibilities, such as the digitalisation of public services.

Born in 1968, Mr Vella is a Masters graduate in information technology and began his carrier with the public services in 1989, having worked in several ministries and departments.

He occupied the post of Chief Information Officer at the public services department for eight years, where he worked on simplification and digitalisation projects.

Mr Vella was also strategically involved in the setting up of several initiatives such as Mapping Tomorrow, National Cyber Security Strategy and Tallinn Declaration.
