On Monday, Maria Engerer announced her new role as Head of Human Resources (HR) at A&CO Group of Companies.

Previously, Ms Engerer served as HR Change Management Partner at Ventures Lab.

For the past eight years, Ms Engerer has worked in the HR department of various established organisations. She started her career in HR in 2016 as HR Specialist at GO plc.

Two years later, Ms Engerer was appointed HR Business Partner at PwC and later held the same position at MeDirect Malta. Prior to her role at Ventures Lab, she started working as HR Manager at Alpha Group PLC.

She describes herself as being skilled in global HR management, strategic HR planning, employer branding, training and development in HR, HR policies, change management, recruiting and market research, among others.

Additionally, Ms Engerer has a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) in Psychology along with a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Training from the University of of Leicester.

A&CO, also known as Attard & Co, is a family-owned business founded in 1921 by Edoardo Pellegrini Petit. The company was established originally as an insurance agency.

Over time, the company diversified its portfolio. It now imports and distributes quality products, and is also active in the food and drink industry, financial consultation, forensic services, health services, pharmaceuticals, and construction, among others.

After evolving into a group of companies, A&CO organised itself in three independent business groups: Imaging, industrial and foodstuffs.
