Join Games Malta’s licence has been cancelled by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) after it ruled that the casino software provider was in breach of several regulations.

Through its B2B critical supply licence, Join Games Malta offered Type 1 gaming services through online casino website JoinGames.net, but the MGA has now withdrawn its licence, ordering the provider to halt operations and stop the registration of new players and the acceptance of new customer deposits. Apart from this, the Authority asked Join Games Malta to retain and provide registered players with access to their accounts, and refund all monies standing to customers.

The MGA notes that Join Games Malta breached regulation 9 (1) of Malta’s Gaming Act, failing to seek written approval from the Authority before appointing new directors. The provider also did not submit its key functional roles list along with the necessary documents, as well as failing to pay particular regulatory fees on time.

The ruling follows last week’s MGA cancellation of World Watch Luxury’s Type 3 B2C gambling services licence. Join Games Malta may appeal the decision.
