Malta Employers has elected Ivan Refalo as its new President, following the completion of Joanne Bondin's tenure. Ms Bondin, who now holds the position of Senior Vice President, served two consecutive two-year terms.

In a brief address, Mr Refalo thanked his fellow council members for their confidence and trust. He expressed gratitude towards Ms Bondin, stating that he would take guidance and inspiration from her leadership as he continues to steer the Association in its mission to uphold the interests of responsible employers and shape social dialogue to drive policies that balance economic growth with responsible business practices.

Mr Refalo is a long-serving Council Member of Malta Employers and served as Deputy President and Manufacturing Industry Sector Group Representative under Ms Bondin’s Presidency. His business experience spans over 35 years with experience in the manufacturing sector, hospitality, aviation and services industries, covering Quality, Operations and Human Resource Management and Development.

He is a Henley MBA graduate and a former President of the Foundation for Human Resource Development president from 2013 till 2015. In his profession as an HR Practitioner, he currently leads the HR Department at Seifert Systems Ltd, a German-owned manufacturing company engaged in the provision of cooling units, heat exchangers and chillers for clients worldwide.

During its first Council meeting following its 60th AGM, Malta Employers also elected the following positions:
