Malta-based hotel operator The Warren Collection has announced it will contribute up to €400 to cover the new work permit renewal costs for eligible third-country national (TCN) employees following the fee increases announced in the 2027 Budget.
The Warren Collection, which operates the Park Heights hotel in Msida and the Eleven hotel in Sliema as well as operations in the UK, said the move is a sign of its commitment to supporting TCN workers amid rising employment and living costs.
“From January 2027, The Warren Collection will contribute up to €400 towards the additional work permit renewal costs of every eligible third-country national employee within our Malta operations,” it announced.
“We recognise that many of our international colleagues have travelled thousands of miles, leaving behind their families and loved ones to build a better future in Malta.”
“They work hard, contribute to the local economy, support Malta’s hospitality industry and play an essential role in delivering the guest experience that our business is built upon.”
"At a time when the cost of living continues to place pressure on working families, we believe it is important that employers recognise these challenges and offer meaningful support wherever possible.”
The Warren Collection also announced it will develop further employee-focused initiatives, including recognition for exceptional service, professional development opportunities and additional wellbeing support.
“We are proud of our diverse workforce and the contribution each individual makes, regardless of nationality or background,” it said.
“Our employees look after our guests every day. We believe it is equally important that we look after them.”
A similar decision to support TCN workers was recently taken by the Ramla Bay Resort in Mellieħa.
