Filmmaker Luke Zammit has announced his appointment as Assistant Manager of Content at Stargate Studios Malta, where he has worked in a number of roles since 2017.

He joined the company as a Visual Effects Artist, before being promoted to Producer in 2018, before his latest promotion.

He will bring a wealth of experience to the role, including that gained during his time at University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Full Sail University.

During his time studying, his proudest achievement was writing and directing his thesis film ‘Magic Mouse,’ where he led a cast and crew of over 70, with an estimated production budget of $27,000.

This short film was nominated for a student Emmy in the best comedy category and has won several awards including a Bronze Telly Award, Golden Knight Award, Winner of the Best 'Long Form' and 'Graphics' at the Suncoast Student Production Awards together with thirteen other prestigious film festival selections and eight wins.

Stargate Studios Malta is a prominent high-tech production company offering high quality visual effects and production services to the film and television industries.

The Malta-based studio has since supplied high-end visual effects to successful projects including Treadstone, Umbre, Devils, Medici, American Gods, You Me and the Apocalypse, whereas its production department handles all aspects of prep, production and post-production for its diverse local and international client portfolio.
